Hello,
Some three and a half years ago I opened this support ticket:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/multilanguage-options/
Since now there is a CPT General setting to allow users to translate their listings in the front end via WPML duplicate translations I would like to ask you to let me know the current process to allow users to enter a multilanguage listing and pay for it.
I understand that the process could start by:
1) Add Listing in the default language.
2) Click Review Listing.
3) Click Confirm Review and Go to Checkout.
4) Pay.But then, does it continue like this?
5) Edit listing.
6) Duplicate listing to WPML translated languages.
7) Switch language to first translated language.
8) Edit listing in the first translated language independently.
9) Switch language to second translated language.
10) Edit listing in the second translated language independently.
11) And so on….Or… is it still necessary to pay for the listing in each language?
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards.
July 22, 2019 at 6:02 am #498834Hi Jotomas,
Thanks for your post. Kindly go through the GD WPML documentation here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/multilingual/ that explains everything you need to know about it. I hope it helps.
July 22, 2019 at 7:20 am #498845Hi Kor,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Ok, I will need to make some tests to find responses to my questions.
Another question: I read this in the GD Multilingual documentation:
”
Title and Meta
Single Site LanguageTo load GeoDirectory Title and Metas in a single language, translate the strings directly using the GeoDirectory settings at:
GeoDirectory – Settings – General – Title and Meta
Multiple Site Languages
To load the GeoDirectory Title and Meta in multiple site languages leave all the GeoDirectory settings blank at blank all the strings at:
GeoDirectory – Settings – General – Title and Meta
Instead, choose one of two options.
Translate with WPML – String Translation
Translate PO files with POEdit (standard translation method)
”However, I can not find the “Translate with WPML – String Translation” option, apparently because Yoast SEO has taken over GD Meta Settings (screenshot attached). Should I tick “Disable overwrite by Yoast SEO titles & metas on GD pages”?
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much once again for your help.
Best regards.
July 22, 2019 at 7:50 am #498850WPML String Translation is a WPML feature:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/July 22, 2019 at 9:10 am #498868Hi Alex,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Ok, I misunderstood this paragraph:
”
Instead, choose one of two options.Translate with WPML – String Translation
Translate PO files with POEdit (standard translation method)
”I understood that I had to look for setting options showing as tick boxes.
By the way, I neither understand this phrase: “…leave all the GeoDirectory settings blank at blank all the strings…”.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much once again for your help.
Best regards.
July 23, 2019 at 2:34 am #499011For the GD Titles and Metas, if you are translating into more than one language, then leave all the settings for GD Titles and Metas blank (and remove any values you may have added there).
Hope that helps
