So I installed Yoast SEO Premium with the hopes to put custom snippets for my listings and when I go into the listing directly, the attached picture is what I see and it doesn’t allow me to alter the snippets or title, description, etc.. Do I have to deactivate something in the geoDirectory in order for the Yoast to take over?
Any help is appreciated!
ThanksMarch 22, 2016 at 6:23 pm #144494Hi,
it works fine on my demo, please provide a link and admin credentials and we will have a look.
Thanks

there is something breaking the entire edit listing backend form. All fields are messed up and the map is not showing.
That is probably also causing the yoast problem.
Can you please try to disable all non gd plugins except yoast and see if the edit for goes back to normal?
Let us know,
Thanks
March 23, 2016 at 10:40 pm #145285ok ,I’ll disable everything as suggested and check… give me a few min..
By the way, when I look at the listing in wordpress while logged in to edit them, the listings have always been a little messed up with overlapping text and stuff. I attached a pic. (it’s always been like that)
Thanks
March 23, 2016 at 10:52 pm #145288Hi Paolo,
I deactivated everything and the issue is still there. I also checked to make sure that all the GD is up to date. What should I try next?
Thanks

Thanks for the update, I do appreciate it. Hopefully he knows a solution.
March 24, 2016 at 11:02 am #145456Hello,
This is a theme problem, when editing a GD CPT we load extra CSS and JS files but on the GD CPT edit page the function get_post_type() is returning “medicenter_sidebars”. We could hack it to fix it but thats a short term solution this is really something the theme author should fix.
Let us know how you wish to proceed.
Thanks,
Stiofan
March 24, 2016 at 2:52 pm #145544Hi Stiofan,
I’m happy there is a solution to the problem. This theme just had an update come out last night, do you think that I should try the update to see if it fixes anything first?
Thanks,
AdamMarch 24, 2016 at 3:04 pm #145561Hi Adam,
A theme update would not change anything, this is between our GD addon and Google location services.
DO you think you would be able to tell me if that wiki page is accurate or find a better list of zips to regions?

March 24, 2016 at 3:29 pm #145571Hi Stiofan,
If a theme update isn’t going to help with the yoast issue, then I think it would be best if you were able to fix that issue (the function get_post_type() is returning “medicenter_sidebars” issue). I honestly only use that theme for the homepage capabilities really nothing else. So if you could, please fix that issue I appreciate it. If you could explain to me what you ended up doing and I can relay that to the theme creator for a more long term solution.
I’m not sure if the wiki page is accurate. I’m not sure what the wiki page is to be honest. The addresses that i have put in for the listings are accurate from what I know if that is what you mean. I manually enter the listing information when we have new members come on board.
Thanks,
AdamMarch 24, 2016 at 4:11 pm #145586Hi Adam,
So sorry i had a million tabs open and though this was another topic, forget my last post, yes try the theme update first and if that does not help then contact the theme author.
Thanks,
Stiofan

no worries, I’ll update the theme and then let you know what happens.

March 24, 2016 at 7:57 pm #145641Hi Stiofan,
I updated the theme and still the yoast issues and backend edit listing form is messed up. Can you go in and make the proper adjustments to fix those issues?
Thanks,
