Yoast SEO & Variables not showing

    I have installed YoastSEO and have specified a few variables in the meta desc (such as: %%in_location%%, %%location_region%%), however they don’t show in the source. Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Hi Tyler,

    You can’t use the meta desc in Yoast, but instead, please follow the instruction in the article https://kb.yoast.com/kb/category/yoast-seo/ that explains how to use the Yoast plugin.

    So if I want to use Yoast for XML sitemaps, I can’t have meta descriptions?

    Hi Tyler,

    If you use Yoast, the plugin will take over all GD Title/Meta settings. So, you’ll just have to use the features provided by Yoast

    Hi,

    our tags should work via Yoast too, I just asked to the developers and they confirmed.

    Please provide a link, admin credentials and tell us where exactly you added them and its not showing.

    Hi Tyler,

    This was a bug with Yoast in latest release, i have patched your site now, i will do some more testing and then release a new ver of core to fix this.
