My site http://www.fisheroogle.com seemed to be working fine and then about a week ago (approx Jan 23) i noticed that the site was not coming up and just showing the message “Error establishing database connection”. I was leaving town that day so I did not have the opportunity to contact support until just now. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the membership system update that I just noticed in the forum but I thought I would inquire.

I appreciate any insight you can give me as I am now attempting to fix the issue for my customers who use the site. Thank you in advance for you assistance, you guys are awesome!

Hi,

if you go to wp-admin yuo’ll see this message:

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

A plugin cannot cause this to happen.

Thank you Paolo for your response to this matter. As I look into this issue further I can see that it is a missing database connection and has nothing to do with the plugin. I will get it fixed on my end and really appreciate your very quick response time.
