Hi,
It’s possible make checkbox menu for widjet gmap-listing page like a gmap-home page? Thanks
P.s. Sorry for my EnglishJanuary 30, 2016 at 3:35 am #113955No, that is not possible. A Listing Map will always just show the listings called by the page, for example a whole custom post type, or a category or a subcategory.
If you use the popular category widget then that might assist navigation.January 30, 2016 at 8:45 am #114051thanks for the answer.
may be possible, to change the map legend gmap-home page widjet, when move to the subcategory?
tell me what I can do for this?

The map legend can only work on a location page because there are all the listings shown for that location.
On the Listings pages, you will only have like 20 listings at most per page, and there might be only listings from one category shown, so the category picker does not make any sense on those pages.January 30, 2016 at 2:35 pm #114190Hi,
I am just jumping into this topic as I have a similar situation.
Actually, it makes sense to have Category Picker on Listings Map (as on the Homepage Map) like in this scenario:
In many cases on other local information platforms the user performs ‘Near me’ or City/exact address searches. The search result contains everything from coffees & restaurants to local shops, free toilets, metro stations, ATMs, city facilities, etc. It all depends how the structure of your local directory is. If for example, it includes all that points of interest, then filtering them on/off directly on the map would be a great thing for the user satisfaction.
In my ideal case of usability, I would imagine that the Category switcher would appear only when the map goes full screen, otherwise they would not match the search results in the listing, once the user starts to switch them on and off. But when alone browsing the map, switching on/off POI categories would be very handy.
Another point to support it just for the full screen map, is that they always can be included in the Advanced Search from if you have the Add-on, but the search form is hidden when the map is in full screen.I am currently ordering such a custom job.
Cheers.

We will do our best to create whatever you suggest if it becomes popular. But I might try to explain the Listings map a bit better.
The Listings map ONLY shows the listings on the page. So if you set maximum posts to 15 per page, there will be only 15 listings on the map.
The category might have 60 listings, so that means that there are 4 pages each with a different map of 20 listings. Look for the pagination to access these other pages.
That is why it is recommended to use the Listings Map in the sidebar, so it can be used to pinpoint the listings. If you use the Popular Categories widget, then it will show how many listings there are in other categories for the location.
To go on with the example, let’s say you have 60 listings in Places, 15 of them are restaurants, and 15 of them have an ATM, etc.
On the current page, you might only have 3 restaurants. If you would filter the map for restaurants (which you cannot at this time), you would only have 3 listings left on the map.
But if you drill down by clicking on the link to the restaurants category, you will now have a page with 15 restaurants and a map with 15 restaurants.@ M Boehm
If you added search by categories to the Advanced search, then you will be able to do that search regardless of what page the search is on, or regardless of what map is on the page.
If that is not how it is working for you, we’d like to see that.
What you describe might be the result of only adding the category search to one CPT and not another. That is if I understood your explanation correctly.February 1, 2016 at 2:50 am #114838Thanks.
