Since 1.22 (and possibly 1.21), existing listings fail to load on the details page. I can see the gallery, but no other information is displayed.

Adding a new listing appears to work okay once submitted but the review page, prior to confirming the submission, also has display issues.

Although I’m no expert (by a long way!), I’m wondering if it’s a jquery issue, as the site sub-menus also don’t display when the page has problems.

As I say, once submitted, any new listings display perfectly and all menus work just fine. I didn’t have this problem with 1.20 and no new plugins have been added since then.

Using X theme 2.4.0 with the theme compatibility plugin. I also tried disabling it, but no change.

Just for my own education, if X already calls jquery within the theme (and I’m not sure if it does or not) could this then cause a problem if GD is also calling it?

    All help appreciated.

    Hi,

I can’t recrate this in any of our test websites.

can you provide a link and wp admin credentials in a private reply please?

    We will have a look.

    Thank you

    Hey Paolo

It wasn’t the update that caused it. At the same time as I applied the update, I deleted the default place categories and created new ones. This meant, of course, that the place listings didn’t have categories assigned. As soon as I assigned them to one of the new categories, the problem went away.

As a test, I then removed all the listings from the category I’d put them in, but the problem didn’t reappear.

It looks like a listing can be removed from a category, once it has been added, but if it’s never been in one of the listed categories in the first place, then the details page breaks.

    Thanks
