Hello Fellow Geodirectory Users,
Please allow me to share something really helpful and valuable. In addition to excellent service and fast servers, my host Lightning Base (LB) now offers FREE SSL. Let’s Encrypt SSL has been integrated on LB’s cpanel.
Installing SSL is super easy. I just did it this morning and my site is now running on SSL.
You can see it here:

March 25, 2016 at 7:03 am #145781Hello,
I also installed the brilliant “Let’s Encrypt” SSL certificate as my web host also includes it in their CPanel.
But I had a problem with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark warning from Firefox, saying that some parts are not secure.
Another problem I had was that on the Opera browser, if I did a search on my site, when I reached the Search Results page, it would not be secured and the green lock disappeared.
I found a quick fix for now by using a plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/
Because the warning was still showing in the WP admin area, I also added this other plugin which resolved the issue:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-https/
I came to this forum to see if SSL was mentioned and I found your post.
I visited your site on Firefox and I see that you also have the same problem.
If you click on the yellow warning, you can see that the problem is caused by some elements like images’ urls being http instead of https
I think the plugins are a quick fix, but it’s probably a better idea to change all files on the system to https and I’m looking for a way to do this.
I have another problem now. If I activate the GD Booster addon, then the warning shows again…
I have attached a screenshot of the warning icon on Firefox.
March 25, 2016 at 7:40 am #145789Sorry I made a mistake, in my previous post I said that when I use GD booster (plus the two WP plugins for https) then the yellow warning shows again.
What I meant was that I get a blank page if I activate GD Booster (but the green lock is ok, with no warnings).
March 25, 2016 at 7:47 am #145791Thanks, JP. I will ask my host to help me troubleshoot it. He’s really helpful and so far, GD Booster works on my site.
March 25, 2016 at 8:02 am #145792You’re welcome! 🙂
If I don’t have the plugins, then I can use GD Booster and I just get the yellow triangle warning like you do on Firefox.
But if I use the two plugins I mentioned, they fix the warning problems…but if I activate GD booster the page goes blank.
I just found this interesting article:
March 25, 2016 at 9:33 am #145795Hello, I found a solution 🙂
My web host suggested looking for a “search & replace” plugin.
I installed a couple, but I found this one to be the best:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/
After activating it, I went to Tools – Better Search
Where it says:
“Search for”
put the http url for your website: http://www.longbeachagents.com
Where it says: “Replace with”
put the https url: https://www.longbeachagents.com
This will find hundreds of files in http and then convert them to https.
My site is now showing the green lock everywhere 🙂 Firefox, Opera and Chrome and it even works with GD Booster (and I’m not even using the other two plugins anymore to force https).
They recommend backing up your database before doing this.
I hope this helps!
March 25, 2016 at 9:59 am #145796Two more things I should have mentioned:
Where it says “Tables”, I highlighted all the tables there.
Where it says “Run as dry run?”, I un-checked the box.
March 25, 2016 at 5:03 pm #145954Thank you, JP. My host also recommended that plugin. 🙂
