GeoDirectory is not Updating

    Hi
    Though the data is saved in the background whilst logged in – the changes are not reflected in the live Website e.g. we have numbered our Holiday Lets in our Accommodation Directory, however, these changes are not reflected in the live site – actually, GeoDirectory no longer posts any changes ??? …

    Are you using a caching plugin?
    Does your website look different in a different browser, or after you clear your history and cookies etc?

    Hi
    The website is now updating again however the Titles still do not change e.g. I have numbered the Holiday Lets however all the descriptions remain as just “Holiday Let” – without the number.

    Please confirm whether it is possible to change a Title once it has been entered into the system e.g. if an item is originally titled “Butcher” can it be renamed “ABC Butcher”? Or do we have to delete the item and start again?

    With reference to the attached file is it possible to default the system to opening the Map Title Box with just the Parent Categories allowing the user to expand the Parent Category only if they are interested?

    Without this feature the Map Reference Box could end up larger than the web page …

    You can change a title of a listing at anytime, either from the backend or the frontend.

    To NOT expand the categories on the map, tick the “collapse” box at Appearance > widgets > GD Home > GD home map widget > Collapse child/sub categories ?

    Hi Guust

    Thank you – this system is absolutely BRILLIANT !! The Category Listings are now displaying the parent categories which is perfect.

    With regards to the issue of the Titles, I have attached 2 views:
    1. the system view
    2. the public view

    Perhaps we have a setting wrong somewhere which will not allow the titles to change ??

    If you send us your admin details we can have a look, like this I don’t really know why you think it cannot be changed.
