Search within category (without having to click checkbox / radio button)

Hi,

I’m currently using Geodirectory for a site that lists Attractions, Restaurants, Stores, etc. I’m also using the Advanced Search plugin. On my site’s homepage, I bring people to these categories by having links to Restaurants (/places/restaurants), Shopping (/places/shopping), etc.

My question is, if somebody were to use advanced search from within one of these pages (ie. Restaurants), it would search all categories unless they click on “Customize My Search” and check the category they are already in. Is there any way for, when I bring a person to /places/restaurants for example, that the search will only search the restaurant category without them having to manually check the box? Is there any way to make that advanced search box or bullet already checked depending which link category they initially click on?
