SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP (BUG?)

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    So, when I try and hide all the categories on the map, my map disappears? If I do not check on Places, but, select all the main categories, my map disappears.

    As I have a number of categories, I do not want to clutter up my map, but I still want it visible, suggestions? Not sure if this is a bug your you intended for the map to vanish unless one category was selected.

    Also, how do I remove the category listing on the map?

    That is exactly how it is supposed to work. The map loads only if at least 1 catgeory is selected.

    If all categories are hidden, there is noting to load and the map doesn’t show up.

    You can only hide the map menu with css.

    I would rather someone arrive at my site and see a blank map until a search is conducted, then they get the icons related to the search.
    

    I am assuming I drop the CSS into the Script page Design–>Script–> Custom style css code?

    Hi,
    

    We could add an option to tick/untick categories by default, so that they would be present on map, but not visible until the user tick it’s checkbox.
    

    Howeevr, the home page map isn’t really linked to some search results. It is a generic map of your default location showing the category selected by default. (being that 1 single location or the everywhere virtual location).
