How to Setup Geo Travel Home Page like WPGeoTheme Demo

    For anyone having trouble setting up Geo Travel theme as per the WpGeoTheme Demo here’s some instructions.

    Pre Requisites
    First you need to make sure GeoDirectory is not set to be the home-page
    Go to Geo Directory – Design & Uncheck “Set geodirectory home page as your home”

    Also ensure you have the geodir_genesis_compatibility plugin installed & activated.

    Setting the Home Page header Background
    Go to Appearance – Customize and select “Home Background”
    I used a 1920px by 800px background

    Setting up the Text area & Search Form
    Go to Widgets and the two widgets you will need to use are “Home Featured Right” & “Home Featured Left”

    Home Featured Left
    Drag a Text widget here, Use Heading and then text (styling not required for replicating the demo look)

    Home Featured Right (Vertical Search Box)
    Drag the GD Search widget here.

    and that’s it…
