    Hi,

I updated to core Geo Directory plugin to 1.2.7 and it crashed my site. Is there a way to reverse the update?

    thanks,

What do you mean with “crashed your site”?
Can you post your URL and WP admin details, and can you explain exactly what the problem is? Then we can have a look.

You can reverse the update if you backed everything up before the update; then you can restore that. But that will not give you all the fixes of the new versions of course.

I got a database error. I deactivated the plugins and restored the backup. Site works now but Geodirectory isn’t operating.

You have a lot of locations that do not exist, like your default location, and others like “all, all, all”.
You have “United States” and “United State” as a country.
That needs tidying up, because that will confuse your maps.

To clean that up, do this:
    http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/faq/how-do-i-merge-locations/

Also, using a caching plugin interferes with the dynamic page creation of GD.

I don’t quite understand why your listings or listing page does not work.
I think it might be a conflict with the Events plugin, so you could try de-activating that.
I also will get Stiofan to have a look for you.

Thank you! Any thoughts or suggestions on our updating to 1.2.7 in the future?

i’m not sure why ur permalinks were wrong, it could be another plugin, just remember if you have the problem again to just resave them.

Might be the “Simple URL” plugin – I guess that might rewrite URLs?
