Distance in km not accurate!

    Hi guys,

    What is used to work out the distance? On my site, the distance in KM from some points that I know is up to 40% inaccurate. What is used to calculate this? Is there a change miles are being used as km?

    Those distances would be just as the crow flies.
    Can you give some URL of searches etc, so Stiofan can have a look at it?

    OK, for example… have a look at this …12km

    but Google maps says 17km

    All my distances are out by just as much of a gap

    Google does not fly like a crow, Google drives or walks.
    The GD distances are just a straight distance.

    If you put Artane in the directions below the map on the detail page, you get the distance per road, about 17 km.
    On the search page it is the distance per helicopter.
