Updated GD this morning. Now all event pages are gone and only show:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function geodir_get_detail_page_related_events() in xxxxxxx

    custom_functions.php on line 1386

I updated everything that WP said needed updating through admin. (do NOT update any other plugins on my site, so must be updated manually). If there was something else I was supposed to do to update GD, I wasn’t aware.

Events 1.3.6 is released but you are using 1.3.5.

So that doesn’t show up in the WP dashboard as a plugin that needs updating?

Tried adding the license keys from the download page here:
    wp-admin/admin.php?page=geodirectory&tab=auto_update_fields

    none of them are working.

The problem seems to be that the version of openSSL is before there was a standardized way to deal with wildcard SSL domain certificates which was not set until feb 2011 and you ver is from ####OpenSSL 0.9.8o 01 Jun 2010.
Updating OpenSSL on the server should fix the problem, for now i would recommend you update your addons via FTP.

I have no idea what you’re talking about with regards to SSL – it’s not something I installed, and even if I did, it would not have been before 2014.

But I uninstalled GD Events, and uploaded the new version. Now I have no events. All 404 errors.

Can you please fix this? Or should I just revert to the prior versions of GD and Events, which at least partially worked.

Your events seems to be working now, i assume it just needed a permalinks save?
The OpenSSL is a server program for communication between SSL servers, you should ask your server admin to update it.

    Thanks,

Yes, I rolled back to the prior version of GD so my events would work.

    Who is my “server admin”?

This sounds like I’ll never be able to use or update GD again.

Your server admin is the person you contact if your server is not working right, who ever that may be…. And you ask them to update “OpenSSL” on your server.

    Thanks,

So you are saying this error, “Fatal error: Call to undefined function geodir_get_detail_page_related_events() in ”

is because of OpenSSL on my server?

No it’s because when you updated GD core you did not update your addons too.
The OpenSSL thing is related to addon updates, you can install them via FTP but esolving the OpenSSL thing will allow you to auto update as normal.

    Broken: GD 1.6.3 & Events 1.3.6
    Works: GD Version 1.6.2 & Events 1.3.6
    Works: GD Version 1.6.2 & Events 1.3.5

So I don’t see how what you’re saying makes sense. GD 1.6.3 is what is breaking all the events, regardless of which Events version is being used.
