How to make a listing "featured'

I have been searching everywhere to find how to make a listing “featured.” I see other people making reference to it, so I know it is possible, but I don’t see it anywhere? The only thing I can figure out is to make a custom form field in the “Place Settings.” Is this how to do it or am I missing something built in?

You need the Payments and Prices addon, and create a price package that is featured by default.
Visitors can then choose to have a featured listing by selecting a different package.
And admin can manually set a listing to featured in the backend then.
