Hi,
Suddenly the maps in my listings are not uploading.
See: http://stepoutbuffalo.com/restaurants/buffalo/casual/tappo/#post_map for example.
I did update to WordPress 4.0. I’m using Geodirectory 1.24. I updated to 1.27 a few weeks back but that caused a major conflict with the site so I reloaded 1.24.
Any suggestions?November 24, 2014 at 8:11 pm #22495Hi,
you have this error on that page:
You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.
one is added by GeoDirectory, the other could be added by the theme or another non GD-plugin.
If with this theme it was working and you didn’t recently update it too, it must be a recently added plugin that also handles google maps.
Let us know.
Thx
November 24, 2014 at 10:19 pm #22512Thanks for the response.
Is there a third option? I’ve deactivated all the plugins without success, and been using this theme for weeks. I don’t recall any map function.November 24, 2014 at 10:29 pm #22513You’re welcome, please provide wp admin credentials and we will have a look.
Thx

are you sure that you only updated to wp4 before the map stopped working.
The (non-gd) event manage plugin is calling the google maps api.
I really need to disable all plugins and possibly quickly change theme to properly test.
Do you authorize us to proceed?
Thx
November 25, 2014 at 6:05 pm #22581BTW, what error did you have with the latest version?
It is highly receommended to keep all addons and core plugin updated.
We should focus on fixing that too or you will face new problems.
Thanks
November 25, 2014 at 11:27 pm #22608Hi Paolo
Yes, go ahead and deactivate plugins and theme to test – ideally it would be early morning your time.
When I updated to 1.27 the site went blank – I realize that probably doesn’t help much. I have a test site on a different server which I have tested for the update with same theme and plugins and I had no problem. I am in the process of setting one up on this server. My plan is to test update on that in the next few days and see how it goes, unless you have other suggestion. If you think it might help with this conflict we can probably wait. If it is an issue with Events Manager we need to keep that for the near future.
Thanks again for the help.November 26, 2014 at 12:42 am #22615Hi,
we fixed it already, without the need for deactivating anything.
You ahd this on your theme’s header.php.
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?libraries=places&sensor=false"></script>
note the extra closing script tag, probably it caused most of the problems
I don’t know if that was added by you or the theme author.
Thanks
November 26, 2014 at 2:45 pm #22692Hi Paolo,
Thanks again. We didn’t add it but maybe a sub did. We will be in touch if we have any issues with the update.
The prospect of shortcodes is exciting. Any guess when they may be available?November 26, 2014 at 4:43 pm #22703Hi,
we don’t have an ETA yet, but it should be fairly soon.
Thx
November 26, 2014 at 8:27 pm #22734Hi Paolo,
Any chance that script applied to Events Manager? We no longer have maps in the Event Location areas where there were previously. If it shouldn’t be where it was we can leave it off for the time being.
thanks
November 26, 2014 at 9:12 pm #22750HI,
can you try now?
Clear your browser cache before refreshing.
I had disabled googlemaps for that plugin thinking that was the problem, but the problem was in the theme and after fixing it I forgot to re enable the maps for the event manager.
Let us know,
Thx
November 28, 2014 at 3:50 pm #22947Hi Paolo,
Great- that works.
Regarding the Deodirectory update- I set up a development site and updated to 1.27 and had the same problem.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function geodir_is_geodir_page() in /home/stepoutb/public_html/development/wp-content/plugins/geodir_location_manager/geodir_location_hooks_actions.php on line 1060
You can see it here http://development.stepoutbuffalo.com/
Suggestion?November 28, 2014 at 4:07 pm #22952Actually, you won’t be able to see it because I deactivated, but you can gain access with the same username and password I gave you previously.
