Use standard WP categories

Hello,
Sorry if such question already exists, but the forum is full with information.
I’d like to use the standard wordpress post categories instead different special for the plugin.
I saw the both type of categories are stored in the same table (in DB) – wp_term_taxonomy only with different taxonomy flag. Is it possible to modify (set up) the plugin to use the same categories as the default posts system?

hi,

we also use our own database tables, it is not possible to use the taxonomy for posts with our custom post types I’m sorry.
