Duplicate Locations

I noticed that I had two “Asheville” suggestions in the search field on http://www.ThingsToDoInNC.com. One of the Asheville locations when I select it says “Not Found This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?”. The other suggestion when selected renders listings as it should.

So I went to GD>multilocations and noticed that the one that didn’t work says “all” and there was another city duplicated with “all”, Byrson City. When I go to the “Bryson City, all, United States” I get a different kind of bad result “No listings found which match your selection.”.

I found several other cities that had “all” for either country and/or region. They also had a duplicate with the actual region and country so I merged all these.

What does this mean? Does this mean I need to merge duplicate cities every now and then? Or is this because I didn’t have, under GD>MultiLocations>Location Settings under Location Settings “Enable default country (country drop-down will not appear on add listing and location switcher).” selected and I didn’t have “Enable default region (region drop-down will not appear on add listing and location switcher).” selected either? Those are now selected. But, I don’t see where to set the default country and default region… where do I set this?
