Avada Theme Internal Error

    I just downloaded and installed the Avada theme and then added the necessary plug in it suggested

    The following required plugin is currently inactive: Fusion Core.
    The following recommended plugins are currently inactive: LayerSlider WP and Revolution Slider

    and now I cant even get into my WP site and I am getting:
    “Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request”

    Please help!

    Have you activated GD already?
    Give us your URL, WP admin details and FTP details in a private message and we will have a look.

    OMG! Thank you for your quick response. I have done some trial and error, reset my wordpress from scratch on fatcow (thank goodness its new and has no data) and I installed the 2 of the 3 requested plugins. The fusion core and layer slider before I installed the Geodirectory. It is not Geodirectory that is causing the problem it is the Revolution slider that shuts down wordpress which is being requested by Avada theme. I am on their page searching but it is no longer installed (since I did a hard reset). If you still want to help I have no problem giving you my login info but I do not expect it since it is a problem with Avada and not you guys (btw I am thrilled with GeoDir!!! It is awesome and has literally everything I wanted to program myself but would have taken me months to build on my own)!

    Ok, did a hard reset of wordpress on fatcow, followed direction from 1st link now I am getting this after I tried to install the GD Avada compatibility plugin.

    Unpacking the package…
    Installing the theme…
    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
    Theme install failed.

    I don’t know if it matters, the directions say I need it, but it seems to be working with out the compatibility plug in. However I still cannot install the Revolution slider… Avada states
    “We ship this plugin with theme and we include latest version every time. As you got rev slider with Avada and have not purchased it directly from theme author, update process would not work this way.
    “You can safely ignore this warning. We are already discussing it with developer and this notice will be removed in next version.” (https://theme-fusion.com/forums/topic/revolution-slider-update-error-on-avada-3-7-1/#post-358534) So I am going to ignore it… but still missing style.css from the Avada compatibility plugin. Any idea on that?

    It is a compatibility plugin, not a theme 🙂

    Lol! Ha! My husband works for a computer help company and they have a code for stupid mistakes called a PEBKAC … Problem exists between keyboard And chair! That was definitely a PEBKAC on my part!!! Duh! Thanks for helping me – despite my silliness! <3
