Updates undo all translations

I posted before that the updates removed some of the translations, I just finished re-translating some items I had missed, checked and verified that they went through. After doing so I found there was a new update and upon updating it I find much of that work has been undone (for the 4th time in 2 weeks).

Should I expect to be translating my site every time a new update is released?
