Questions about Map and search module layout

Hi,

While I have a feeling that WPGeodirectory is extremely good in the development side, I do not have the same feeling about the design side and I really do not like at all the design and useability in some specific areas, basically the map and the search module layouts.

I am considering customization but I do not have the skills, so I am looking to hire somebody to do it. However, I do not know exactly what to look for, a designer, a CCS expert, a developer?

In any case, before doing it, I would like to ask if what I want to do is possible.

1) I would like to change the placement and layout of the Custom Post selection on the Map (see attached screenshot) which I feel that it is difficult to notice, specially on mobile devices, and looks bad overlapping text with the Google Map credits.

2) I would like to change also the placement and layout of the Category list on the Map (see attached screenshot), for the same reasons.

3) I would like to change also the look and feel of the search module (see screenshot attached), which I feel that needs to look much more appealing and to be much more intuitive to use. I would like to hide most parts of the search module (the compass, the “near” field, even the keywords field) and make them appear as options and add tooltips or short explanations to every option and / or field, or to use something instead the compass,… I do not know exactly yet (I am looking at different examples around and I will decide If you confirm that it is possible). Then I would like to add the Custom Search options under the same idea.

Could you please let me know up to which extent these layouts could be customized?
