How do I make the ‘add your images’ portion in the add a place page required? It does not show up as an editable option on the backend. See attached of what I can see on the back end.

    Hi Kelsey,

It should display the custom field options when you click on the “Horizontal Tabs” as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/d2uter . If it still doesn’t work, do you think you can share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Hi Kor,
    I have the same problem.
I need the default image is a required field, but this field does not appear in the options “Manage Place Custom Fields” Can you tell me where and what code I have to add to make this field required?
Sorry for my English, I hope you understand me.
    Jimena.

I don’t see an option for the images though. Your screen shot shows the time section. I’m referring to the add images.

    Hi,

there is no option to make images mandatory.

A custom jQuery script will be required to achieve this.

    Thank you

    Hi Paolo,
And where I can find that script?
This functionality is very important to me.
    Thx!

A custom script means that it must be written to do that. Currently it is not available.

I asked to the developers to help you out, but this things are really considered customization and if you can’t write your own jQuery script, you should hire someone to help you out.

You shouldn’t expect support to include customization.

    Thanks

Okay, if I can not ask for more … but I find a fairly logical functionality in a directory, thank you anyway.

IMO this is a bad idea, how many listings will you lose if a user can’t find an image on the device they are using, it would be better to add default images to the categories so on the listings pages a default image would show.

But as this was a simple bit of code here it is:

    Thanks,

    WOOOOO, Grateful, Stiofan!
In my case, I need it because I have used Geodirectory for a directory of geologists and it is necessary that they add their license picture.
    Thanks & rethanks

Hi is there a way to change the script so that if a user does not upload an image, it will default to a generic image that I designate? I remember prompting this before, but could not figure out where. I thought it was a built in feature.
