    Hi guys,
    We are having a few issues and could use some help

    Problem #1 – We would like to have a different home page other than the GD layout – we have tried the following steps

    We removed the option to set GD as the homepage and than made a different home page (static) This works fine until you change the location.
    Doing this takes you to the default GD homepage. This is causing us a problem because we would like that function to revert back to our new _self / static homepage instead of it taking us to the GD default home page.

    Problem #2) When I try to add the map to the defaulted GD homepage (the one that I am taken back to after I click change location) the header section breaks – and we can add nothing to this area.

    So what we would like to be able to do is use an AVADA powered page as our home page and then our second page to add the elements from GD into widgets using Widget on pages plug in (which is working fine BTW)

    We are 100% updated and are using AVADA with child theme

    Hi,

    1) if you removed the option to set GD as the homepage and you set the static as your home that doesn’t affect the location page.

    You must modify actions of geodir_location.php and geodir_home.php plugin templates (which are very similar) to modify the GD home and GD location pages.

    Require PHP and WP development knowledge.

    2) We need to have a look at your website for this. Please reply in private with Url and wp admin credentials.

    It’s ok. I found a work around that I am happy with. I kept the home page using GD and I am going to add a getting started page that I can make from Avada.
