    Hello,

I am using wpml to translate the frontend of geodirectory and have a problem translating the strings of the add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place form.
It’s translating about 80%, but not strings like Business Owner/Associate?*, Listing Title* etc.

where are these string located ?

Hi these strings are located in the .po/.mo files inside the geodirectory plugin folder, her you can find more info about the translation http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/translate-core/,
I don’t knowhow WPML uses this, but i guess it also loads the .po/.mo files based on the language (en_us, etc..)

PS- It should be fixed, I will ask if it’s planned for the next release, and let you know

There are still some WPML issues that we are working on for the add listing form, but you should be able to translate all labels and strings checking the .po/.mo files. Please note, there are .po/.mo files also in the gd addon, for example the “Business Owner/Associate?” is in the claim listing manager addon, inside the geodir-claim-languages folder

Some new on this? is there a easy way to see what files are used on the add listing form and need to be translated.?
It seems the content is shattered across multiple language files.
Only a few lines in the geodirclam-en_US file for the add listing form.

Workaround: use wmpl to search for the phrase it will tell you where the string is located. Then you can use poedit to create a translation for only that line in the specific language file and use wpml to translate the rest.

it’s clear wpml finds the string but when you translate it only with wpml it doesn’t show on the site.

Some other strings i can’t translate.

Add-listing page -> breadcum “Add Listing”
Listing Preview page -> Title -> “Listing Preview”
Listing Preview page -> Breadcum -> “Listing Preview”
listing-success Page (free package) -> Hole page can not be translated
Detail page -> tab title -> “Special Offers”

Stripe payment module -> Title -> Pay for “listing preview” instead of Pay for “Packaged name”

    Regards,

You can translate the Special Offers tab going in the Place settings then expanding the field for the Special offer, and from there change the frontend title. For the remaining things, I need to check and get back at you when I found something.
