This is only a general question and I am thinking about opening a new feature request in March..
I have a number of business who have services and programs which are a pain to find. Many of the services and programs are hidden behind the company name, which leads to a lot of frustration when seeking services for someone with disabilities.
I see 2 options to fix this;
One is create a new directory listing for each program, which means you will have multiple listings for a single address. I am not sure how this will impact SEO and if /when the company moves, this is going to be a major effort to update all their listings..
Another option is to follow Googles lead with the creation of branding pages; https://www.google.com/+/brands/
My understanding is that a branding page does not have its own address BUT it tied to physical location or store? (maybe, might not be saying this correctly).
So, I guess what I am asking, how hard would it be to add a branding page to a directory listing?
Good example: GoodWill Industries has its primary mission and everyone (in the states) knows about a drop off location and their thrift stores.
What many people do not know is: they run a number of programs and services that directly support those with disabilities.
Some of these program have names like Possibilities, and other names that you would have NO IDEA what they do.
If I could create a directory listing and then add branding pages for all their programs, I believe this will fix the problem and really make GEODirectory standout above all the other directory software creators out there (no body else is doing this).
Thoughts?
