I have been struggling with GeoDirectory for several weeks now. I am trying to put together a website with the following (simple?) requirements:
National (U.S.) Directory of Drug & Alcohol Treatment Resources
Resource Locator
– Map of Resource listings with the following filters:
– – Location (default to geolocation)
– – Search distance / radius
– – State
– – City
– – Categories
– Ability for visitors (reg/login) to submit Resource listings
– Resource listing page shows list and/or calendar of ASSOCIATED (linked) Events
Event Calendar
– Calendar page with the following filters:
– – Date ranges
– – Location (default to geolocation)
– – Search distance / radius
– – State
– – City
– – Categories
– Event List on same page as calendar and displays same filtered events as the calendar
– Event listing detail includes a link to the Resource listing detail
– No fees for any listings or events
I have poured over the documentation and still cannot see how I can link events to resources (places). I have nearly every add-on installed, but not sure exactly which ones I need.
It is looking like I cannot have SEPERATE PAGES for Resources and one for Events? I need the resource page to emphasize the map and the events page to emphasize a Calendar.
I’d also like to remove the “Add Images” field from both the Resource and Event entry form on the front end, but cannot find where that is – it’s not in the list of fields for either.
The site is using the theme “Panoramic Premium” and I’m not sure if there are any compatability issues, but seems like things geerally work ok.
