Registration confirmation email not being sent

    Hi,

    I have just tested my registration process and it is not sending a registration confirmation email. After the first failure I installed email log plugin and then tried setting up another account – again no registration email. Email log confirms no email is being sent (the plugin is working as it logged an admin sign-in email). Both pending accounts can be seen in the backend under Users>manage signups.

    Yes I saw. Neither of my previous attempts worked though – I will try again with another email account and report back …

    No – It didn’t work for me again (the part-registration is shown in Users>manage signups though). No email log for it either – but also, I see that email log didn’t log your successful confirmation email either! (unless you deleted from email log?)

    Otherwise I wonder if the issue is cookie-related – that fact that I am using a computer that has already registered a user? Could this somehow be stopping an email being sent to register a 2nd person at same ip address? Prob not?

    In any case, that is three failed attempts to three of my different email addresses and one successful on yours – any ideas?

    … and I just tested all 3 email accounts I used to register the failed attempts – all working fine …

    If it is still a problem, turn off all plugins that might interfere with normal registration processes like WordFence etc.
