Reinstall clean plugin

    Good morning.

    Sorry for my bad English.

    I have a problem with the uninstallation of the plugin.

    I installed Geodirectory in web of production. I did a backup web and it installed in local. I want to start all over again and I turn off the plugin, delete the plugin and DB data. But this does not seem to be everything. When I install the plugin again all changes made previously are again. (Changes CSS, Places, categories, etc.)

    Can help me someone to know as a reinstall of 0 the plugin?

    Hi there,

    This usually means that you did not clear the database completely. Check out this blog and try to follow the steps mentioned in it http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-reset-your-wordpress-database-to-default-settings/

    Hi.

    Thanks for your quick response!

    I just tried this method but completely erased all the data. In the local installation I have’t problems, but this I need to do in production and it is not possible. I just want to delete Geodirectory.

    Is there no other possibility?

    Did you tick all the boxes at GD > General > Uninstall settings
    before deleting the plugin?

    Hi Guust!

    Yes I have. The general settings of the plugin if they are deleted (Google API Key, etc.), but categories and places still appear.

    I do not know very well what to do anymore.

    @ignacio, you must delete the posts and categories before uninstalling, those are posts, not plugin options and no plugin will ever remove posts or categories you created with it when uninstalling it.

    @andrea please never highjack other’s people topics, that is very rude. Always open your own tickets for any request unless you are talking about the exact same request made by another user.
