Custom theme template for gd_eventcategory taxonomy

Hello,

I need to have a custom template for taxonomy “gd_eventcategory” for a specific term I have (Term slug is “season-guide”).

I have placed in my child theme:
taxonomy-gd_eventcategory-season-guide.php
but it is not working. What I meas is that it seems like it is being ignored. archive.php is still being used.

Not even this is working:
taxonomy-gd_eventcategory.php

I have tried to change the term slug to “seasonguide” (no dash) but still no luck.
