Mandatory fields in contact forms

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hello,

    how can I change the fields in the contact form and in the “recommend-to-a-friend” form into mandatory fields?

    I believe the only way would be via some jQuery script, but it’s better to ask to the developers.

    They’ll let us know asap.

    As far as i can see they are all required fields anyway, whats the problem?

    Hi Stiofan,

    I find out that the field validation for the mandatory-fields name, email and the textarea only works, when the user is NOT logged in.

    For logged-in users there is no field validation, so the logged-in user can send a blank message.

    If I send a message from my mobile phone (safari, ios), there are also no mandatory field functions. So I can send also blank messages as a mobile NON-logged-in user.

    Hi Ralf,

    We use html5 validation and because apple suck and don’t implement things all other browsers have, then this is the problem.
