Theme's left sidebar overruled by Geodirectory

    Hi,

    I would like to keep my wordpress theme’s left sidebar, because in addition to the Geodirectoy section I do have a blog and forum section on my site. However, when accessing a GD page, the left sidebar with the non-GD content is either not displayed at all, or if I force it (in my favorite Hueman theme, this can be done), the sidebar is always empty. (Another user asked about that in an Oct’16 topic and it seems this theme has unusual CSS, so it’s not really feasible for you to ensure compatibility).

    However, even when I tried the TwentySeventeen theme (on your compatibility list) the sidebar was always not visible when leaving the blog section and entering the GD section.

    Do you know about this issue already and do you have any tips for me?

    Hi Telebek,

    Have you tried creating a custom GD home page using your theme’s template? Refer to this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home . If you’ve done that and still doesn’t work, could you please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Hi,

    you cannot “inject” a theme sidebar in the plugin templates. That would require code customization.

    What you can do is add the same widgets that you have in your regular sidebar, also in GD Sidebars.
