Advanced Search Not Working – 502 TimeOuts Every Time

    Hi,

    So following the many recent GeoDirectory plugin updates, it seems the search is no longer working at all on my site: http://liveout.us/

    Occasionally it will load after a search, but it takes about 15 seconds and I am on a computer with plenty of RAM/ fast internet, so others it probably times out every time. We have 120,000 listings, so I know that is why, but I was wondering if there is some way to optimize the plugin to suite larger directories like ours.

    I had a company WPBooster do some site optimiztion a while back and they sent Guust some suggestions. He should still have login info as well. I was wondering if you could look into Live Out from the admin and see what’s going on, as well as read back over that email sent form WPBoost to Guust about a month back.

    Thanks Paolo, I think I will eventually move away from WPEngine as per your suggestions. Is there a host on this list that you would recommend?

    Also, I have resolved the issue by excluding the following from WPEngine cache:

    Now, it seems the only issue is with search autocomplete menu. Search works fine when you type, for example, “Athens, GA” but when I have autocomplete menu enabled, and I click “Athens, GA” or any other city/state combo I get 502 every time. Can you please check if there is some conflict with Advanced Search autocomplete menu?

    I really suggest Cloudways over any of those.

    It’s managed cloud with scaling on demand. We use it and it works flawlessly with GD.
