Trailing Slashes in the listings

    Hi,

    I set the permalinks in WordPress without trailing slashes but in the listings, the links are shown with trailing slashes. How can I get rid of the trailing slashes in the listings.

    Hi,

    you cannot set permalinks without final trailing slash. That option will not affect detail page URLs.

    Why would you want something like that anyway?

    Every post or page on my site works without trailing slashes, I CAN set it in the permalinks. And also the entry-URLs work without trailing slashes. This is a basic SEO recommendation. Only the links in the listings uses the trailing slashes. So where I can rid of them?

    As I said, there is no way to do that with GD permalinks (they are not affected by that setting) and for a reason.

    I’m sorry to contradict you, but not only it is not a SEO recommendation, if your site has a directory structure, it is technically a mistake.

    No slash means FILE : yoursite.com/file.html
    Slash means DIRECTORY : yoursite.com/directory/
