    Hi there

I’ve just added a new CPT onto our site and all works ok however, when I’ve added a new listing under that CPT, the listing doesn’t show on search. Additionally, when I go to my account and view ‘My Listings’, I click on the new listing to view the individual page and it redirects to my post archive page.

I’ve resaved the permalinks, I’ve checked the slug and also changed it but no luck. Any thoughts?

    Hi Ollie,

Did you recently installed the “Buddypress” plugin? Anyway, please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Thanks!

You have to add at least one listing before the CPT will become active on the frontend.

For the other issue I can see you copied the geodirectory/preview-success.php page to your theme, but it does not seem to have any modifications. Maybe you made them somewhere else?

You copied the general_functions.php file too, but the version is 1.6.6 while the rest of the plugin is at 1.6.16.
I suggest you try removing the copied files, then you might identify which of your customizations is the problem.

    Thanks

Strange… we had added a listing but it wasn’t working and was redirecting to the index page. I can see it is resolved now so many thanks for looking into!

Will take a look at general_functions file but thought there were only custom hooks in there. Will definitely check it out as we want to make sure everything not customised is updated to latest version moving forward!

You probably did not add a category. Every listing needs to be in at least one category or it will misbehave. Cheers.

Yes that was definitely the problem – cheers again.

Sorry – the other problem we have is that members are unable to add a particular CPT. It is available for one but not another… Any reason why?

Have a look at GD > Design > Navigation tab > Allow post type to add from frontend
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation

    Thanks
