Hi team, I’ve been having an issue with my location popup…it’s not appearing. I don’t know what to do. I disabled the plugin that was causing a SSL issue because it was suggested, but the problem still persists.
Website info to follow in next post. Thank you.

It seems to work on my end http://prntscr.com/emmond . Did you click on the near checkbox?
Thanks!
March 21, 2017 at 11:57 am #368817Was that “near me” option automatically enabled after you provided permission with the popup?
I’m not seeing the popup on my end. But I am able to select the “near me” checkbox. But because that option is a little hidden, I want the popup to load. I’m just not getting it.
March 21, 2017 at 12:15 pm #368822Working for me too.
I am guessing you accepted to always geolocate so you will not be asked again.
Try another browser, or use an incognito window or have a look at
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-can-i-clear-geo-location-settings/Thanks
March 21, 2017 at 12:16 pm #368823Ok, thanks guys. I’ll keep at it.
March 21, 2017 at 8:27 pm #368947Hi again, can you guys clarify that you see the actual popup? I removed the location permission from my browser and I tried an incognito browser. I don’t see the popup, location does work but only when selecting the near me checkbox in the search bar. I’m still not getting the popup like I get when I view your demo sites.
Sorry to be a pain…

Is there a way to just reload the current page once location permission is given? I know that’s not how it’s setup but like I said, that little near me checkbox is pretty obscure, especially for a new visitor coming to my site.
March 21, 2017 at 11:11 pm #368975Is there a way to just reload the current page once location permission is given?
That is how it works if you set a redirect option. It will reload if the visitor gives permission. The NEAR ME checkbox has nothing to do with redirect on entry to your site.
That is only for visitors who want to SEARCH near their geolocation.March 21, 2017 at 11:15 pm #368977I’m confused…doesn’t the redirection give only three options? No redirect, redirect to the location page, or redirect to a default location?
I just need users to allow location upon entering the website, that way widgets and the near me (location) page works upon entry(after the popup is accepted) . As is now stands, if users go to the location page it comes up blank…because my only option for location is either to redirect visitors to a location or default location page.
In simple terms, I need location permission without redirection and its not working. 🙁
March 21, 2017 at 11:35 pm #368979Update : Ok, the popup is working but after I allow permission a few moments later I get another pop up that says “undefined” and a message about creating additional requests…
March 22, 2017 at 9:21 am #369023Most likely a local issue with cookies and caching.
It works fine for me in Chrome, FF and IE and I get redirected to
/location/kauai/kekaha/ every time.
ThanksMarch 22, 2017 at 9:27 am #369025Ok I’ll try to look at it again, but could you please respond to my previous post, it explains what I’m trying to achieve.
Oh and on that undefined additional popup, try to navigate to another page, maybe the forum, that’s when I’ve seen it.
March 22, 2017 at 9:50 am #369030Geolocation without redirection is not possible.
The closest you can get to what you want is to use GD Home as your site’s homepage and then all location pages will have exactly the same widgets and maps etc, except that they will adapt to the location.
It is because you are using a non-GD as your site’s homepage you are not getting what you expect I think.
Or leave as is, but just add the same widgets to the location pages. -
