    Hi there!

I apologize in advance for even asking you this, but I have read the documentation as well as several threads on this forum, and I’m still missing something big time, so I’m hoping you can give me a hand and point me in the right direction.

I’m trying to import my data with the sample CSV file I downloaded from the plugin dashboard, but it keeps kicking back this error:

    Total 134 item(s) found.
134 / 134 item(s) could not be added due to blank/invalid address(city, region, country, latitude, longitude).
134 / 134 item(s) could not be added due to blank title/invalid post type/invalid characters used in data.

Do you know what I’m gdoing wrong?

I have attached the file I’m using.

    Wordpress: Version 4.7.3
    GeoDirectory: 1.6.17

    Thank you for your help!

The file is not comma delimited, but semi-colon delimited.
Also, there is no author assigned to each listing, and each listing needs at least one category.

    See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#mandatory

    Thanks

OK, I tried editing that spreadsheet a million times and no matter what I did it kicked back errors. So here’s what I did, posting it here in case it helps anyone!

I manually added one listing to the directory. I then went to the import/export section of the plugin, and exported my listings (a csv file with just the one).

I opened up that spreadsheet and used it to add my data from my database.

Going that route (rather than using the sample csv file) worked for me. 🙂

    Quick unrelated question…

Is there a way to make my front page display my categories in similar to the attached image?

    Thanks for your help!

Sorry, but categories cannot be displayed like that without customization.
