Custom Fields for Custom Post Types

    This is more a question about custom fields.

    Is it possible to assign custom fields to some categories with a custom post type. Right now the default for custom fields is to show for all categories.

    So for example:
    Custom Post Type – Food
    Category 1 – Burgers
    Category 2 – Shakes

    Custom Field – Flavors for Shake. I would only want this to option to show for Category 2, and not Category 1. Is this possible?
