    Hi guys,

    BIG PROBLEM!!!

While I was doing a search test on my website I found out that more places no longer can be found with search on the page. I have observed that in the url of each missing place appeard some numbers like “w” or “3”. Please see the attached screenshot.

    Need help urgently, please!
    Vlad

    Hi,

did you update all add-ons too? I don’t see the plugins page so I guess I’m not super admin and I can’t check.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes as far as I know, I did update them all. Though I still have a pop up that tells me “The plugin WP Easy Updates is required to check for and update some installed plugins, please install it now.”

    Did you try re-saving permalinks?

Please provide full admin access and we will verify what’s wrong.

Wp Easy Update is required for the next updates.

Saturday, on the 22nd of April, I modified the name of 2 pages in the main menu. And today I uninstalled BuddyPress plugin and I installed another plugin, Super Socializer.

Do you think any of these might have impacted the URLs? If so, I will make a restore from a couple of days ago, though I might lose my new users and my new reviews. But I will do it, because now, this is a serious issue for me.

If you want you can verify. Please search for a specific place: “Authentic” See the result, try to access it, and see what it shows -> Not Found This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

    Hi,

what I would try is to save WordPress permalinks, I’ve already tested your search and I see the place in the back end, but it gives 404 in the front end.

Without super admin credentials there isn’t much that we can do to help.

    Thanks

I did save the WP permalinks. Still the same.

I already gave you administrator credentials, but it is automatically limited to: see the screenshot.

Please recommend me a differnet way to offer super admin credentials.

Give us full access, so please uncheck plugins and users.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Hi Vlad,

I looked into your site and found that few listings has not country_slug & country slug added in urls, so listing page shows not found error.

I re-saved listing “MAGIC Salon Berceni” from backend and now that listing works fine. So try to re-save those listing which have slugs like “/romania/…” not added in url.

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your remark. These locations used to work until now. I have a few questions:

    1. Why did a number automaticaly show up in the url -> please see in another screenshot attached below
    2. What caused this? Because I want to prevent this in the future.
    3. If I do a restore of the website from a week ago, will I lose my new user and their reviews?

What would have happened if I had 5K places listed…whould I had to enter and re-save each location?!?

That’s why, please tell me what’s wrong, what caused this in order to prevent in the future.

Please read the thread so you can see what did I do in the last few days:
    – updated GD plugin and addons
    – deactivated BuddyPress
    – activated Super Socializer plugin
    – modified the pages order and one name in the main menu

    thank you,
    Vlad
