    Description field in add listing page allows me to enter beyond character limit.

    See in attached images how the last word “spin” in the description field of the add listing page is not in the “preview listing”.

    The site is http://www.DealersBest.com and this data is just silly test data…

    Hi,
    when adding a new listing, the description field as a maxlength=”140″ set so it’s impossible to add more that 140 characters.

    I see from the screenshot on your 1st post that you were editing a post and not adding a new post. Did you add the description before adding the limit?

    Or did you add that listing from the back end?

    Just tested on Chrome and I can’t add more than 140 characters too.

    Can you tell us exactly the steps you take to recreate the problem?

    Hi Jeff,

    I can’t recreate this either, it seems to be something releated to ” ‘ ” in the text, it only happens then, i guess its a “the_content” filter in a plugin doing something. If you provide FTP info i can probably track it down quicker, other wise you would have to disable each one and keep trying.

    Thanks for the info, the problem seemed to be in the prices and payments manager, i updated you to the latest beta version and installed the “invoicing” plugin, you should check your settings there but now everything seems to be working ok.
