So I activated “Bank Transfer” method in “Payments” but on : http://dchtest.co.uk/gd-checkout/ its not showing. All I can see is Paypal.
Am I missing something? See screenshot.
May 17, 2017 at 10:07 am #378761Bank transfers cannot work with recurring payments.
It is not possible to create automatic bank transfers.
ThanksMay 17, 2017 at 10:14 am #378764We dont want automatic bank transfer. It means that the customer will arrange payment seperately so no e-commerce – either by bank transfer / cheque / cash. Then once they paid we can go into the back end and mark them as paid and activate their account.
So we just need this / something to display on checkout page for them to select. How do we do this?
May 17, 2017 at 10:18 am #378766Hi Guust
If I look at the GeoDirectory video for Pricing and Payments.
See at 13:09 it shows check box for “Pre Bank Transfer”
See my attached screenshot also from your YouTube Video.
So my question is why is this not worknig for us?
Thanks Luke
May 17, 2017 at 11:47 am #378780The first screenshots show a recurring package and that is why it does not work.
The only way is to create a non-recurring package.
Recurring packages are only for PayPal, 2CO and Stripe, and will set up an automated agreement in the relevant payment system. From the video it also appears you are using an old version of the payment manager, please check the version you are using, and compare with https://wpgeodirectory.com/your-account/
Thanks
May 17, 2017 at 11:55 am #378782This reply has been marked as private.May 17, 2017 at 12:02 pm #378783You can only create a non-recurring package, and tell them that they can renew each year if they like.
They will get a renewal email, so they can send a new cheque so you can extend the listing.May 17, 2017 at 12:19 pm #378784Hi
The problem we have is that we are customising Geo Directory with ” extras ” so that we have only 1 pages any many “extras”
So the one package is £100 per year to be listed for one UK County.
then people can select how many extra “counties” for £25 per county extra. They could end up paying £250 per year.So now im thinking, if I need to make one package for “non recurring / bank transfer / cheque paying customers” , then I will have to then duplicate the whole package and make it non recurring?
I guess then they have to answer this question first when signing up? And then they can then start adding extra counties and the price goes up/
Is that the way you would reccomen to do it? Just seems a bit backwards as its like asking “Are you paying by paypal or by cheque” as the first question before even asking them what they want to buy!
What do you think? Surely there is another way around it?
Please have a look here: http://dchtest.co.uk/gd-login/
See screenshot also how I am currently creating the registration form.
thanks
LukeMay 17, 2017 at 12:39 pm #378788The form you are designing is a user registration form, not a Listing submission form.
The listing submission form is here: http://dchtest.co.uk/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
And will have the different options up the top, for example pay once with cheque, or recurring with PayPal etc.
The GD user registration form has nothing to do with the Payment Manager, the Payment Manager is only to take payment for listings, not user registration. Thanks
May 17, 2017 at 2:16 pm #378804Hello
The link you sent me just showed the same registration form to me. Did it to you? Please can you check whats on the page that you sent a link for? would that be usual?
I cant see anywhere different options up the top, for example pay once with cheque, or recurring with PayPal etc.
See my screenshot what I can see. No “cheque” / payment info at this stage.
May 17, 2017 at 9:16 pm #378856That is not the user registration form, but the listing submission form.
The user registration form is at http://dchtest.co.uk/gd-login [which you only see if not logged in]
The listing submission form is at http://dchtest.co.uk/add-listing/
See where it says, select package?
That is where all your packages are showing, for the moment it shows 2.
Here is a screenshot of another site to show:May 18, 2017 at 7:03 am #378897Hello
I can see your screenshot. But is that not the same on my website?
Then for each “genuine” package do I need to make a duplicate (one for paypal payment and once for bank transfer?).
With the example screenshot you sent me , if they wanted to offer both bank transfer and paypal payment would they then need to make that into 4 packages? i.e.
– Standard $3 – paypal
– Stndard $3 – bank transfer
– Premium $12 – paypal
– Premium $12 – bank transferWould that be the only way to do it? Or am I missing something?
thanks again
Luke
May 18, 2017 at 10:14 am #378921If you have active PayPal and bank transfer, then all recurring packages will use PayPal only and non-recurring packages will be able to be paid either with PayPal or bank transfer.
So you would need to create:
– Standard $3 – recurring
– Stndard $3 – non-ecurring
– Premium $12 – recurring
– Premium $12 – non-recurringFeel free to play around, you can delete or modify packages at any time.
May 18, 2017 at 12:36 pm #378934Hi Guust
See here: http://dchtest.co.uk/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place
See my screenshot
Is that how you would do it?
Just a bit weird as most people expect to choose payment method once they have got to the end?

May 18, 2017 at 12:46 pm #378937Hi Guust
So I set that up now. But now when I go to GD Checkout page the “Pre Bank Transfer” option is not available to select.
See my screenshots. What am I doing wrong?
I can deal with the previous issue but this was the orinal issue i contacted you about and its essential for this website to work as the client wants it.
thanks
LUke
