I’ve created a custom post type and upon trying to turn off whether FB is Active it brings up this error.

Column change failed, you may have too many columns.

I’ve done this one the updates versions but also some of the older ones with the same problem.

In addition to this, does anyone know if it’s possible to have all the CPT on one map? I only use 2 types of directories (Events Venue + Shop), but they have different fields so I have to split them into separate CPTs.

    Have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/custom-field-error-when-save-and-icon-issues/
Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply if we need to check this out.
Make sure all plugins are the latest versions, old plugins will not work with new ones.

You can have all CPTs on the same GD Home map, but not at the same time, you need to switch from the ribbon on the bottom of the map, see an example at https://wpgeo.directory/starter/

    Thanks

I can’t be 100% sure but i suspect the SQL user for the WordPress install does not have all the right privileges, can you confirm it has add/edit/alter etc, if you provide webportal access i might be able to check.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Graham,

When i try to give the SQL user all privileges it won’t let me, can you ask your hosting company to give the SQL user all privileges?

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

I made no file changes, all i did was try to give the SQL user more permissions but i kept getting an error message. Usually that screen only appears if the wp-config.php file is missing.

Boom, nicely done – thanks so much Stiofan!

Mind if I inquire as to what was changed?

    Great! 🙂

I had to delete the CPT and its fields and then recreate it, id did try that before and it did not work, maybe the restore helped as when i was checking the SQL users permissions non of those fields in your pic were ticked.
