Cannot access the author page

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    I cannot access the author page. When you click on any account link (site/author/username) it redirects to home.
    Typing the url in the browser has the same result.

    Help.

    there must be a plugin conflicting. Did you try deactivating all non GD plugins for a moment to test?

    I was almost positive it was Yoast, there should be an option to disable the author pages, I just don’t remember where it is. You should try asking to their support staff.

    SOLVED

    Yoast setting “multiple authors” must be set to yes.

    Thanks, sometimes I need to be reminded to take the basic steps…I drill too deep.

    Now I don’t have any data, just the author page and I would also like to style it. Why are my listings not showing and what is the page id so I can uses css for this page only?

    Hi,

    the author page is not a regular WordPress page, it is a virtual page, so there is no ID. It can only be customized by modifying the template.

    The page will only show a link to Places or any other listings an author entered. Clicking on it will show the list of them.

    The user provided is no longer admin so I cannot check if anything is not working correctly on your website.
