    Is there a GeoDirectory setting or recommended CSS to make all images that appear inside the listing image box “fit-width 100%”?

    The problem with the default automatic handling of images in a directory listing is that they all appear at 270 pixels x 175 pixels resulting in the outside edges of most uploaded images being heavily cropped.

    When using company logos as default directory image this crops over 95% of all uploaded images and the listing design looks terrible. Smaller logo images (re-sized as a result of a ‘fit width’ setting) are preferable to automatic cropping.

    Any help or advice would be most welcome. Thanks.

    Hi Stephen,

    Could you please share your Website URL so that I could take a better look at it? On default, it is set as “cover” mode and you can try changing it by inserting the custom CSS code below into GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS

    .geodir_category_list_view li .geodir-post-img .geodir_thumbnail {
        background-size: contain!important;
    }

    That’s it. 100% perfect result. Thank you.

    May I recommend you add this as a new GUI option under GeoDirectory > Design > Listings [LISTING PAGE LAYOUT SETTINGS]? Perhaps have a drop-down menu called ‘Listing Image View Mode’ with ‘Cover’ and ‘Full width’ as two starter options.

    Hi Stephen,

    That’s not a bad idea. But, please add it here https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/ as a feature request and the developers will review it.

    Thanks!

    Also – any CSS/advice on how to ‘fit-width’ the same images on the map when a pin is clicked on? Thanks.
