    Using Directory Starter theme and viewing the website I am working on on a mobile devise and see that the header image does not shrink to fit. Is there a way to enable that? I have tried to find a WP plugin that would help to no avail.

    Hi Christine,

    Please insert the custom CSS code below into Gd > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS

    header#site-header {
        background-size: contain!important;
    }

    Thanks!

    I really appreciate your help. Unfortunately, I still don’t understand where to put this piece of code. I do not see a path of gd>>>>Custom Style CSS in the Directory Starter theme folder (see attachment one). And I tried to put it in the place that is for custom CSS in the customize dialog area and it did not affect the size of the header in mobile view (see attachment two).

    Sorry to be a pain. I wish I understood this stuff better 🙁

    Thanks!

    OK – your answer here made me realize I did not have the GeoDirectory plugin installed on this website. So, have done that and placed the code snippet in the place you indicated.

    And that worked! Unfortunately though, this process has killed the slide show that used to be on the home page….do you have any of your helpful advice for me on this new issue?

    Hi Christine,

    That custom CSS code I’ve provided should not interfere with the “slideshow” you have on your homepage. Could you please remove it and see if it makes any difference? Also, please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Hi Christine,

    I just checked your website with all browsers I have both desktop, laptop and mobile.

    I can’t recreate that error. Do you know what browser was this tested with on the kindle fire or your client laptop?

    Did you try to clear the browser cache on both devices?

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Ah ha! I knew you smart people would have the answer. I cleared the cache on my Fire (using Silk browser) and that fixed this last issue. I imagine my client will just need to do the same.

    Thank you thank you!!!!!
