    Good morning.
I have a quick question about the size capability of my directory. One of the directories that I m going to launch has the potential of being quite large. Possibly 20,000 to 30,000 entries. Are there any steps now that I should be taking (or avoiding) now to insure that my directory will be ready for that volume in the coming years? Thank you for al the help.

    Hi Joe,

just make sure to host the website on a decent server and 30,000 entries won’t be that many.

    Thanks

Thank you Paolo. I also read somewhere to not use the random sorting if you have a large directory. Thoughts on that?

Random sorting is harder on server resources, yes that’s probably something to avoid. Also try to keep the categories to the minimum possible. The less the better.

Also make sure to install and configure Wp Super Cache and Autoptimize: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/?post_type=post&s=cache&cat=0
