I tried two times to be shure.
The original file was exported from GD.
The entries where selected and updated in two fields:
    – is_featured
    – geolocalization (copied from similar listings)
The csv file with modified entries was imported without errors

but now the maps are not anymore working.

There cannot be any author with ID of “0”.
Latitude and longitude have to be decimal.

    Thanks

    Thanks for this.
I will try as soon as i find a way to correct the “numbers” problems reported here.
I think the import/export functionalities needs some adjustments:
    IMPORT
    – My first data was imported from CSV with no data in Author field. ‘0’ was created by the GD import routine. If ‘0’ is not supported, please, assign a valid code in import
    – if some data can’t be interpreted, import must fail and do not corrupt the item data
    EXPORT
    – custom fields needs to be defined as “text” in csv (include value in text delimiters) since if you don’t specify “text”, any number code you insert (zip code and phone number included), will be interpreted as “number” by all softwares and ‘0’ digits at the very beginning of the code will be eliminated.

The instructions are at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/ and should be clear enough:

These are the mandatory fields for listings:
post_author: the WordPress ID of the WP user, for example you can use 1 for the first admin account created

post_latitude: latitude in signed degrees format, for example -20.97625669
post_longitude: longitude in signed degrees format, for example 162.45444

CSV files should only be edited with OpenOffice or LibreOffice Calc [that takes care of any “text” issues]

    Thanks
