Hello, I just did an update and it basically reset all of my CPT listing fields. They are all still there but my configurations were wiped out. 🙁

    Hello!

Please make a private reply with your url and wp-admin credentials so we can take a look.
Please elaborate with an example of the issue, too.

    Thanks!

    Hi Joy,

I don’t think the update would delete the fields from the custom fields table. I’m sure they might be still there. Maybe its hidden because of misconfiguration.

Have you checked the tables via phpmyadmin?

The fields were not deleted, the settings were. As far as where they are visible.

    Hi Joy,

updating plugins would not remove options. It would have happened on thousands of websites overnight and fortunately it didn’t.

Kiran and Stiofan will look at your website tomorrow to see what might have happened.

    Thanks for your patience,

I’m not sure what happened, but I just know that I needed to reset all of my custom fields visibility settings. In addition, my “Get Directions” link, was changed to a text field. Very strange.

In any regard, not sure that they’ll be able to find anything. I’ve made the necessary changes to get everything back as it should be.

    Thank you though. 🙂

    Hi Joy,

If you have debugging enabled via WP_DEBUG & WP_DEBUG_LOG then there should be log in debug.log file if any error occurred during updating.
Also please check error log at your server side, and if you find any error there then just let us know.

In future when new update available, before going to update enable debugging, it will help to find it any error occurred during update.

    Kiran
