Hello!
To have GD working along with WPML plugin for the website I have now, giving users ability to choose whatever languages we will have available:
#1-I have to add all the languages Core & Adons .mo file’s translation languages into same folder I will create in server, correct? For English and Brazilian Portuguese, example:
CORE
wp-content > languages > plugins > geodirectory-en_US.mo
wp-content > languages > plugins > geodirectory-pt_BR.moAdons
wp-content/languages/plugins/geodiradvancesearch-en_US.mo
wp-content/languages/plugins/geodiradvancesearch-pt_BR.moetc, etc…
#2-I saw the GD listings translation link already, I think I am okay on that.
#3-What about my website template?
#4-What about blog posts, same as GD listings?
Thanks
October 26, 2017 at 4:21 pm #402742#5-What is the URL language setup recommended by you guys, so it can be helpful to improve theme SEO as well? Or maybe not? Example:
https://www.bjjfinder.com/page/?lang=pt-br
https://www.bjjfinder.com?lang=fr
Thanks
October 26, 2017 at 4:32 pm #402745#6-I noticed that my widget “GD Home Right Section” is displaying one widget to close to each other when you have more then one widget inserted on its section. Is there a way can fix that? Please see attached screenshot for reference.
Appreciate it
October 26, 2017 at 6:07 pm #402759Hello!
1. Looks right!
2. Great!
3. “What about my website template?” – Please clarify your support request. Is there a bug?
4. You said you use WPML, yes?
5. The SEO advice we offer is built into the GD product structure.
6. CSS Customization hints are here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/October 26, 2017 at 6:30 pm #402770#3-I am still talking about translation, sorry if that was not clear. There is no bug now, not that I know. What I was asking is if I do need to translate anything from my theme? I use Supreme Directory.
#4-No worries on that question anymore.
#5-I know you prob have a link for it but what I am asking what is the suggestion for the URL? WPML offers different ways to setup your translation url address, just like I posted above.
#6-Sorry I was not trying to ask you “how to customize” my theme, never mind on that one!!!
Thanks
October 26, 2017 at 6:39 pm #402777Hello!
3. Theme translation instructions are here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-themes/
5. There are many considerations, and the subject is worth more thought than I can provide as this is not covered under our support policy. Thanks!
October 26, 2017 at 6:46 pm #402781about #5, the only way you can use GD + WPML is using this structure:

October 26, 2017 at 6:50 pm #402786#3-Oh I see. Thank you.

Thank you again.

you have to create folders, wpml doesn’t do any of that.
Thank you
October 27, 2017 at 2:12 pm #402904Hi,
Which ones are u talking about it? I just posted two screenshots that WPML created two folders by itself . One of the folders was created as “Languages” and the other “plugin”
Based on thesE screenshots Can you please give examples???
Thanks
October 27, 2017 at 3:09 pm #402913…at the you guys tutorial section, I can find a lot info bout translate from one language to another but not many bout to keep GD for 2 or more languages at same time.
Can you provide some info in here please? How do I keep 2 or more languages running?
Thanks
October 27, 2017 at 3:51 pm #402919Hi Andrew,
that’s the WP way and the same as we explain in our documentation (there is no other way).
You just need to follow the documentation.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/
All language files should be added to wp-content/languages/plugins for plugins and/or wp-content/languages/themes for themes
We explain that here too: https://wpgeodirectory.com/loading-wordpress-language-files-correctly/
Hopefully this is finally clear?
October 27, 2017 at 4:01 pm #402922I don’t want to do on a different way, I was just telling that I did not need to create anything, as you can see from the screenshots I sent you that WPML created those folders corrected!
Also, the other confusion for me is that this link below you posted looks like when someone wants to translate from one language to another language, example: from English to Spanish but what I am looking for is to keep English and add Spanish, Portuguese, etc, your link does not states that or did I just miss that?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/
Thanks
