With such a powerful directory many “prospects” are interested. One question that has been asked repeatedly is… “How do you optimize my listing for search engines?”

Can you point me in a beneficial direction of where the documentation is for prospect, myself and other users of Geodirectory SEO tips for Custom Post Types please.

Or, is this something where I go to Google and Bing and ask them how I am suppose to SEO the CPT listings?

    Much appreciated!

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

SEO is SEO, you optimize “pages”, no matter if they are posts, pages or cpts. There are no specific tips for custom post types.

I’ll write some blog posts on SEO tips and tricks for directories, but I have started yet.

This is a great starting point: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/free-seo-resources/

    Thanks

    Hello!

GD is fully compatible with Yoast SEO

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#social

GD also has built in meta and titles features:

    GD > Meta & Titles

    Thanks!

Thank you Alex and Paolo. Much appreciated.

I do have the SEO Yoast premium installed.

Historically speaking, going back 2 months ago, on a different thread I had issues with Google not ranking my site. I drove some of you “crazy” continually asking why I was having problems.

The long and short of it is… “as to why I was not getting ranked” in my situation had to do with my “site” throwing 500 page errors.

Finally! Today, with the help of my server tech, he discovered it was the sites FPM value settings. They were too low.

Although I have not tested the site for verification he states problem solved. I hope so.

Here are a couple of links that I would like to share just in case someone else is running into periodic 500 page errors on their sties at times.

Kind regards and thank you your focus and support
