http://chathamcountyevents.com/business-service-directory/ is where the “home page” of my directory is located.
On the map, I want to remove the gray service overlay.
How do I add some space between the Search bar and map?
How do I enable a more advanced search bar like the one in the image below?
Also, add space between businesses and search bar?
My categories are super huge, how do I make them smaller?
And I found a sample where the in the image below that I made where it lists the cities, how do I get this?
Is it possible to remove the Home from HOME > Business and the Place Post Type under All Business

November 3, 2017 at 6:26 am #403935Hi Rhonda,
Thanks for reaching us. Let me try to answer your questions accordingly.
#1 Which grey service overlay are you referring to? Perhaps some screenshots?
#2 Use this custom CSS.
.post-type-archive section#geodir_advance_search-2 { margin-top:20px!important; margin-bottom:20px!important; }#3 You’ll need to install the “Advanced Search” Addon https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/category/addons/search-filters/
#4 Use this custom CSS to reduce the category title sizes.
h3.gd-cptcat-cat { font-size: 12px!important; }Insert all custom CSS code into GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS. Also, have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
Thanks!
November 3, 2017 at 5:26 pm #404025Oh, man so I messed around with this – https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/ and got a lot of changes that I wanted, but can’t seem to save it. I’m on a mac, so I right click to click inspect, make the corrections under elements by double the line of code. It turns red as it “saves”, I see the changes but when I close out none of the changes stay. And I don’t see anything like a save button. I’m on chrome. If you can help me with this, I think I have most of my problems figured out.
November 3, 2017 at 5:42 pm #404029Also, one more thing the size of the page/map I think is conflicting with my design of the website. I had it so it wasn’t taking up the entire screen. I believe I had it at 1200 but since I added the geodirectory nowhere on my website can I see the background image, then have my content/main page.
I have the advanced search plugin installed & activated already.

I didn’t use the code, found the right button to click 🙂
